- It is a command line tool that scans an IP range for NETBIOS devices on a local or remote TCP/IP network.
- It requires the following input in the command line:
{grayware file path and name} {options} {range}
where {options} can be any of the following:- -h hex display
- -M Maximum concurrent IPs being scanned
- -m Maximum retry count per IP
- -w Controls autowait time
- -i Minimum interval time between two queries
- -t Timeout in milliseconds
- -p Source port to use
- -s Separator for output report
- -H Human representation of service instead of code
- -V See version
where {range} is the target IP range.

Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 2
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as HKTL_PORTSCAN. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
