To terminate the malware/grayware/spyware process:

1. Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product and then take note of the names of the malware file(s) detected.
2. Open Windows Task Manager.
   • For Windows 98 and ME users, press
   CTRL+ALT+DELETE
   • For Windows NT, 2000, XP, and Server 2003 users, press
   CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, then click the Processes tab.
3. In the list of running programs, locate a malware/grayware/spyware file detected earlier.
4. Select the detected files, then press either the End Task or the End Process button, depending on the version of Windows you are using.
5. Do the same for the remaining detected malware/grayware/spyware files in the list of running programs.
6. To check if the malware/grayware/spyware process has been terminated, close Task Manager, and then open it again.
7. Close Task Manager.

To delete the registry value this malware/grayware/spyware created:

1. Open Registry Editor. Click Start>Run, type REGEDIT, then press Enter.
2. In the left panel, double-click the following:
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{65D5AFFB-D4EF-49AA-GFFG-5DA5E12E300A}
3. In the right panel, locate and delete the entry:
   Thi = {malware path and filename}
4. In the left panel, double-click the following:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Windows\CURRENTVERSION\Run\wdfmgr
5. In the right panel, locate and delete the entry:
   %Windows%\wdfmgr.exe = REG_SZ
6. In the left panel, double-click the following:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Windows\CURRENTVERSION\Policies\Explorer\Run\wdfmgr
7. In the right panel, locate and delete the entry:
   %Windows%\wdfmgr.exe = REG_SZ
8. In the left panel, double-click the following:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Windows\CURRENTVERSION\RunServices\wdfmgr
9. In the right panel, locate and delete the entry:
   %Windows%\wdfmgr.exe = REG_SZ
10. In the left panel, double-click the following:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Windows\CURRENTVERSION\Run\lsassv
11. In the right panel, locate and delete the entry:
    %Windows%\lsassv.exe = REG_SZ
12. Close Registry Editor.
