NOTES:
This Trojan sleeps randomly from 6 minutes to 7 minutes before doing its main routine. It hooks the send and recv API.
It does monitor the data transmitted to extract the proxy-authorization credential through hooking. It connects to http://www.google.com to perform the hooking function. When able to extract the proxy-authorization credential, it does execute the following file and pass a parameter into it:
- {malware file path}\{malware file name}s.exe {proxy-authorization credential as its command-line parameter}
It does not have rootkit capabilities.
It does not exploit any vulnerability.

Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 2
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as TROJ_GETAUT.A. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
