However, as of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

Installation

This Trojan drops the following copies of itself into the affected system:

  • %Fonts%\{random name}.COM

(Note: %Fonts% is the Windows Fonts folder, which is usually C:\Window \Fonts on Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, and 7.)

It uses Windows Task Scheduler to create a scheduled task that executes the dropped copy.

Step 1

Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.

Restart in Safe Mode

Step 3

To delete the added job file:

  1. Click on Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Scheduled Tasks
  2. Double-click on a job file.
  3. Check if the malware path and file name is in the Run: box.
  4. If it does, delete the job file.
  5. Repeat step 2-4 for the remaining job files.

Step 4

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as TROJ_UNRUY.SMJF. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
