This Trojan does the following:

  • Exploits an unspecified vulnerability in the Java Runtime Environment through deserialization of RMIConnectionImpl objects, allowing attackers to call system-level Java functions via the ClassLoader of a constructor that is being deserialized. More information on this vulnerability are found in this page:
  • Downloads a possibly malicious file from the domain where it is hosted after a successful exploitation of the vulnerability
  • Executes the downloaded file. As a result, malicious routines of the downloaded file are exhibited on the affected system.

Step 1

For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.
