Trend Micro Revs Up Its Support for Team Harvey Norman in the 2018 Supercars Championship

Trend Micro, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, is extending its relationship with Harvey Norman from retail to racetrack through the co- sponsorship of Team Harvey Norman and Nissan Motorsport in the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.

Behind the wheel of Team Harvey Norman’s No. 78 Nissan Altima will be Simona de Silvestro. The 29-year old Swiss driver has stolen the attention of Australia’s racing world through her remarkable journey to being Australia’s first and only full-time female driver in the Supercars Championship, as of 2017.

This is the second year in a three-year partnership between Harvey Norman and Simona de Silvestro in her Supercars campaign for Nissan Motorsport.

“We are thrilled to be supporting Simona for Team Harvey Norman in her second full-season in Supercars,” said Tim Falinski, Senior Director, Consumer, APAC, for Trend Micro.

“Simona’s determination and relentless pursuit for success is inspiring, both on and off the race track. She’s definitely one to watch in the racing world, and we’re proud to be part of her team to support her achievements on the tracks.”

The season kicks off from 1-4 March at the Adelaide 500. There are 16 events throughout the year, and Trend Micro will be at key events including Townsville, Bathurst, Gold Coast, Auckland and Newcastle.
