This Ransomware arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Installation
This Ransomware drops the following files:
- {Malware File Path}\{Random Characters 1}.bat
- {Malware File Path}\{Random Characters 2}.bat
It adds the following processes:
- cmd /c "{Malware File Path}\{Random Characters 1}.bat"
- cmd /c "{Malware File Path}\{Random Characters 2}.bat"
- SC QUERY
- FINDSTR SERVICE_NAME
Other System Modifications
This Ransomware deletes the following files:
- {Malware File Path}\{Random Characters 1}.bat
- {Malware File Path}\{Random Characters 2}.bat
Ransomware Routine
This Ransomware appends the following extension to the file name of the encrypted files:
- .yguekcbe
