FedMail(R): FEDACH Advice - End of day - 12/27/12
This spammed message purports to come from Federal Reserve Bank. It informs users to review the ACH note, which they can view by visiting a certain URL. Once users clicked on the URL, they are redirected to a malicious website that leads to a malware.
Users are advised to be wary in opening email messages even if it comes from seemingly known sources. It is also advisable to verify if a certain email message is legitimate or not by visiting the website directly or by contacting the organization directly.
