This malware is involved in the Blackhole Exploit Kit (BHEK) attacks in January 2013. It takes advantage of a zero-day vulnerability (CVE-2013-0422) in Java in order to drop ransomware. Victims may find themselves being extorted for money.

Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.

Restart in normal mode and scan your computer with your Trend Micro product for files detected as JAVA_EXPLOIT.RG.
