This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

NOTES:

This malware hooks the macro auto_open(). It checks if the file StartUp.xls exist in XLSTART folder. If the file is not found, it creates a copy of the active workbook in the said folder.

It infects Microsoft Office Excel files by creating a macro module named StartUp, which contains the malware codes.

Step 1
