This is the Trend Micro detection for the following SpyEye Toolkit plugins:

  • customconnector - tells the bot which command and control (C&C) server to communicate with
  • ccgrabber - Collects credit card information from the bots
  • ffcertgrabber - Collects certificate information from the bots
  • SOCKS5 backdoor - Allows reverse connections through a proxy server.
  • FTP backdoor - Allows reverse File Transfer Protocol (FTP) connections to the bot
  • RDP backdoor - Allows remote desktop connection

Step 1

For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
