This spyware executes then deletes itself afterward.
It adds registry entries to enable its automatic execution at every system startup.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Installation
This spyware drops the following component file(s):
- %User Temp%\4tddfwq0.dll - also detected as TSPY_FRETHOG.LP
(Note: %User Temp% is the current user's Temp folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003.)
It drops the following copies of itself into the affected system:
- %User Temp%\xvassdf.exe
(Note: %User Temp% is the current user's Temp folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003.)
It executes then deletes itself afterward.
Autostart Technique
This spyware adds the following registry entries to enable its automatic execution at every system startup:

This spyware connects to the following Web site(s) to download and execute a malicious file:

This spyware does the following:
- Its DLL component is injected to several processes running in memory.
- It injects codes into the following processes related to popular online games to steal sensitive information such as user names and passwords:

SOLUTION
Step 1
For Windows ME and XP users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

Delete this registry value

Delete this registry key
