This Trojan Spy arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

It gathers certain information on the affected computer.

It connects to certain websites to send and receive information. It terminates itself if it detects it is being run in a virtual environment.

Installation

This Trojan Spy adds the following mutexes to ensure that only one of its copies runs at any one time:

  • Global\Uz{derived from computer name}

It injects codes into the following process(es):

  • %Windows%\explorer.exe

(Note: %Windows% is the Windows folder, where it usually is C:\Windows on all Windows operating system versions.)

This Trojan Spy adds the following registry entries:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\{Random characters}
(Default) = {Hex values}

It deletes the following registry keys:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\{Random characters}
(Will only happen upon shutdown of the affected system)

It terminates itself if it detects it is being run in a virtual environment.

It does not proceed to its malicious routine if it detects that it is being debugged.
