Installation

This Trojan drops the following files:

  • DEM{4 random characters}.tmp

It adds the following processes:

  • cmd.exe /c echo UOdSilBUzSKXpsw>"%User Temp%\DEM{4 random characters}.tmp"&exit

(Note: %User Temp% is the current user's Temp folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000(32-bit), XP, and Server 2003(32-bit), or C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Local\Temp on Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 2008(64-bit), 2012(64-bit) and 10(64-bit).)

Backdoor Routine

This Trojan connects to the following websites to send and receive information:

  • http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.209/mobile-ipad-home
  • http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.209/RELEASE_NOTES
  • http://{BLOCKED}d.com/mobile-ipad-home
  • http://{BLOCKED}d.com/RELEASE_NOTES

This Trojan gathers the following data:

  • Computer Name
  • OS Version
  • Username

Other Details

This Trojan does the following:

  • It tries to load repudiandaeoditsimiliquesaepe28.dll if found in the system
  • It can connect and disconnect named pipe
  • It can escalate privileges
  • It can impersonate user tokens
