This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Installation
This Trojan drops the following files:
- {Malware file path}/{Date}-Plugin.log (contains encrypted process logs)
It adds the following mutexes to ensure that only one of its copies runs at any one time:
- Plugin
- AIPlugin_log
Other System Modifications
This Trojan deletes the following files:
- All .log files in the current folder

This Trojan accepts the following parameters:
- -i - It creates a service:
- Name: Plugin
Description: plugins service
Path: {Malware file name and path}
- Name: Plugin
- -v - It displays the malware version
- -u - It uninstalls the service
- -start - It starts the service
- -stop - It stops the service
- -console - It does the following:
- It creates a registry entry:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IXINNUO
Version=EC.V.1.1.R - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IXINNUO

- It connects to the following URLs to send and receive information:
- http://upgrade.{BLOCKED}uo.com/contract_sign/client-version/current?version=EC.V.1.1.R&retry=0
- http://upgrade.{BLOCKED}uo.com/contract_sign/client-version/current?version=
- http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.156.177:9002/version/downloadAddr
- It adds the following processes:
- %Program Files%\xyrzsvc.exe -start (if kp-setup and Aisino.Framework.Startup.exe is not found running in the system)
- %Program Files%\xyrzsvc.exe -stop (if kp-setup and Aisino.Framework.Startup.exe is found running in the system)
- It drops the following files:
- %System Root%\Aisinosystem.inf
- It downloads a slightly modified version of itself based on the URL returned by http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.156.177:9002/version/downloadAddr.
- It creates a registry entry:
SOLUTION
Step 1
Trend Micro Predictive Machine Learning detects and blocks malware at the first sign of its existence, before it executes on your system. When enabled, your Trend Micro product detects this malware under the following machine learning name:
- Troj.Win32.TRX.XXPE50FFF035
Step 2
Before doing any scans, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 3
Note that not all files, folders, and registry keys and entries are installed on your computer during this malware's/spyware's/grayware's execution. This may be due to incomplete installation or other operating system conditions. If you do not find the same files/folders/registry information, please proceed to the next step.

Restart in normal mode and scan your computer with your Trend Micro product for files detected as Trojan.Win32.VIGORF.WLDD. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
