NOTES:

This Trojan is intended to compromise an ATM.

Once installed, it hooks the keyboard.

If the following combination is entered, it enables its User Interface mode:

  • F8 F1 F7 F3 F5 F4 F2

It then performs the following commands based on its keyboard shortcut:

  • F1 - Generate ATM ID
  • F2 - Activate ATM ID
  • F3 - Dispense bills
  • F4 - Exit User Interface
  • F5 – Key Up
  • F6 – Key Down
  • F7 – Key Right/Next
  • F8 – Key Left/Back

It also accepts the following number combinations:

  • 12340000 - Keyboard test
  • 12343570 - Generate ATM ID
  • 12343571******** - Has two options (The last 8 digit combination entered must be a valid ATM ID based on the CryptTrack function and MachineID found in DATAA of config.ini for it to dispense bills)
    • If the MD5 hash of the combination is not equal to the value found in DATAC of config.ini, it will set the time span for dispensing the bills. It will store the generated time span in DATAB of config.ini. Then, it will activate the ATM ID.
    • Otherwise, it will just continue with the ATM ID activation.
  • 12343572**: Dispense bills. Last 2 digits is for the number of bills to be dispensed.

It assumes that the ATM has 4 cassettes.

It dispenses the number of bills based on the entered command.

If a cassette has less than 40 bills, it will dispense all the bills in that cassette.
