This Trojan may be dropped by the following malware:
- TROJ_BREDOLAB
- TROJ_SASFIS
- TROJ_OFICLA
Installation
This Trojan drops the following copies of itself into the affected system:
- %System%\{random file name}
(Note: %System% is the Windows system folder, which is usually C:\Windows\System on Windows 98 and ME, C:\WINNT\System32 on Windows NT and 2000, or C:\Windows\System32 on Windows XP and Server 2003.)
It injects itself into the following processes running in the affected system's memory:
- svchost.exe
Autostart Technique
This Trojan modifies the following registry entry(ies) to enable its automatic execution at every system startup:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Shell = Explorer.exe rundll32.exe {malware file name} {random export module name}
(Note: The default value data of the said registry entry is Explorer.exe.)

Other Details
This Trojan does the following:
- It connects to a website to get its download instructions. Below are some of the sites that it connects to:
- http://{BLOCKED}ania2010.ru/kuzy/bb.php
- http://{BLOCKED}ourcecenter.com/dns/bb.php
- http://{BLOCKED}oops.ru/images/bb.php
- http://{BLOCKED}-resolve.com/packpack/bb.php
SOLUTION
Step 1
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.
Step 2
Identify and delete files detected as TROJ_DLOADR.SMVE using either the Startup Disk or Recovery Console
Step 3
Delete this registry key
