OVERVIEW
This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites. It may be downloaded from remote sites by other malware.
It executes then deletes itself afterward.
It does not have any propagation routine.
It does not have any backdoor routine.
It does not have any information-stealing capability.
However, as of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

Arrival Details
This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
It may be downloaded from remote site(s) by the following malware:
- TROJ_DLOADER.DFA
Installation
This Trojan drops the following copies of itself into the affected system and executes them:
- %User Temp%\30620130632.cpl
(Note: %User Temp% is the current user's Temp folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003, or C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Local\Temp on Windows Vista and 7.)
It drops the following file(s)/component(s):
- %User Temp%\{Malware File Name}.bat - Used to delete the initially executed copy (Non-malicious)
- %User Temp%\FXSAPIDebugLog.DLL - Contains Malware File Name (Non-malicious)
- %User Temp%\_thunbs2.db - Contains date of execution (Non-malicious)
(Note: %User Temp% is the current user's Temp folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003, or C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Local\Temp on Windows Vista and 7.)
It creates the following folders:
- %System Root%\Intel
- %System Root%\Intel\0306013
(Note: %System Root% is the root folder, which is usually C:\. It is also where the operating system is located.)
It executes then deletes itself afterward.

It only executes in a machine which language is set to Portuguese.
It does not have rootkit capabilities.
It does not exploit any vulnerability.
SOLUTION
Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.

Restart in Safe Mode

Search and delete this folder
- %System Root%\Intel
Step 5
Search and delete these files
- %User Temp%\{Malware File Name}.bat
- %User Temp%\FXSAPIDebugLog.DLL
- %User Temp%\_thunbs2.db
- %User Temp%\30620130632.cpl
Step 6
Restart in normal mode and scan your computer with your Trend Micro product for files detected as TROJ_CHEPRO.IR. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
