It accesses websites to download files. This action allows this malware to possibly add other malware on the affected computer. It executes downloaded files whose malicious routines are exhibited by the affected system.

This Trojan accesses websites to download the following files:

  • http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.67.171/pasta1/gbplugin.jpg
  • http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.67.171/pasta1/D63A5E3246A.jpg
  • http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.67.171/pasta1/E174D3044694.jpg

It saves the files it downloads using the following names:

  • %User Temp%\{hostname}{9 random characters}.cpl
  • %User Temp%\{hostname}{9 random characters}.dll
  • %User Temp%\{hostname}{9 random characters}bl.dll

(Note: %User Temp% is the current user's Temp folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003, or C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Local\Temp on Windows Vista and 7.)

It executes downloaded files :

  • %User Temp%\{hostname}{9 random characters}.cpl
