Based on analysis of the codes, it has the following capabilities:

  • This is Trend Micro's detection for patched Windows file %System%\sens.dll, modified by a certain malware detected as variants of TROJ_MESOUM family.
  • The patched code is used to enable automatic execution of the said malware at startup. As a result, malicious routine of the said malware are then exhibited on the affected system.

(Note: %System% is the Windows system folder, which is usually C:\Windows\System on Windows 98 and ME, C:\WINNT\System32 on Windows NT and 2000, or C:\Windows\System32 on Windows XP and Server 2003.)
