This is the Trend Micro detection for specially crafted .LNK files that are used to execute dropped copies of the malware, VBS_JENXCUS.A once a shortcut is accessed.
The target property of the .LNK file contains the following format:
- %System%\cmd.exe /C start {malware path and file name}&start {User's original file} & exit
It executes both the malware VBS_JENXCUS.A and the original non-malicious file to trick users into thinking that the file executed is a legitimate file. As a result, the routines of the main file are exhibited on the affected system.
