This Trojan arrives as an attachment to email messages mass-mailed by other malware/grayware or malicious users. It arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites. It may be dropped by other malware.

This Trojan connects to the following website(s) to download and execute a malicious file:

  • https://{BLOCKED}ds.co/wp-includes/IXR/get.php?yzNQtR

It saves the files it downloads using the following names:

  • %User Profile%\AppData\RoamingPBw47.Exe

(Note: %User Profile% is the current user's profile folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name} on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003, or C:\Users\{user name} on Windows Vista and 7.)

It then executes the downloaded files. As a result, malicious routines of the downloaded files are exhibited on the affected system.

As of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

This Trojan does the following:

Step 1

Step 2
