This hacking tool drops the following non-malicious files:

  • %Current%\{ip address}-LSASecrets.txt
  • %Current%\{ip address}-PWCache.txt
  • %Current%\{ip address}-PWHashes.txt

NOTES:

This is the Trend Micro detection for the program PWDumpX.

It is a command line program that uses the following syntax in order to run properly:

PWDumpX {host name | IP input file} {user name} {password}
where:
{hostname | ip input file} - host name, IP address or IP address list
{username} - user name of user
{password} - password of user

The user must have administrative privileges on the machine. This program may retrieve the following:
  • password cache
  • password hashes
  • password history hashes
  • LSA secrets
This routine risks the exposure of system account information, which may then lead unauthorized use of the affected system. The program may be used locally or remotely.
