OVERVIEW
This backdoor may be downloaded by other malware/grayware/spyware from remote sites. It may be dropped by other malware. It may be unknowingly downloaded by a user while visiting malicious websites.
It creates registry entries to enable its automatic execution at every system startup.
It opens a hidden Internet Explorer window. It deletes itself after execution.

Installation
This backdoor drops the following copies of itself into the affected system and executes them:
- %system%\msoftsvhost.exe
It injects itself into the following processes as part of its memory residency routine:
- explorer.exe
Autostart Technique
This backdoor creates the following registry entries to enable automatic execution of dropped component at every system startup:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
Active Setup\Installed Components\{B0466698-BB0E-6D4D-50EA-BDC7BC1D4BD6}
StubPath = %system%\msoftsvhost.exe
Other Details
This backdoor opens a hidden Internet Explorer window.

SOLUTION
Step 1
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.
