OVERVIEW
This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
It modifies files, disabling programs and applications from properly running.
It executes the downloaded files. As a result, malicious routines of the downloaded files are exhibited on the affected system.
However, as of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Arrival Details
This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Installation
This Trojan drops the following copies of itself into the affected system:
- {Autocad installation folder}\acad.fas
- {Autocad fonts folder}\txtautoz.shx
- {all folders and subfolders from drives C: to Z: which contains .dwg files}\acad.fas
It creates the following folders:
- C:\Bakdirectory
Other System Modifications
This Trojan modifies the following files:
- acad.mnl
Download Routine
This Trojan accesses the following websites to download files:
- http://{BLOCKED}y.2288.org/ysy.tmp
- http://www.{BLOCKED}s.com/hqzxcj/wdzxcj.dat
It then executes the downloaded files. As a result, malicious routines of the downloaded files are exhibited on the affected system.

However, as of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

This malware stores configuration information in the following registry location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\fileken\settings
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\KenFiles\settings
It sends a PING command to the following sites:
- 116.236.100.100
- rmytwsjxx.2288.org
It checks if the following files are present on the system and if found deletes them:
- arxfucker.dll
- acad.sys
- acadsmu.fas
- acadapq.lsp
- acadappp.lsp
- acadapp.lsp
- dwgrun.bat
- winfas.ini
- acadiso.lsp
- acad.fas
- isomianyi.shx
- acad.fas1
- lcm.fas
- isohztxt.shx
SOLUTION
Step 1
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.
Step 2
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product and note files detected as ACM_KENILFE.SMA

Restart in Safe Mode

Delete this registry key

Step 5
Search and delete the file detected as ACM_KENILFE.SMA
*Note: Some component files may be hidden. Please make sure you check the Search Hidden Files and Folders checkbox in the More advanced options option to include all hidden files and folders in the search result.
To manually delete a malware/grayware file from the affected system:
- Right-click Start then click Search....
- In the Named input box, type the name of the file that was detected earlier.
- In the Look In drop-down list, select My Computer then press Enter.
- Once located, select the file then press SHIFT+DELETE to delete it.

Search and delete this folder
- C:\Bakdirectory

Restart in normal mode and scan your computer with your Trend Micro product for files detected as ACM_KENILFE.SMA. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
