This Trojan may arrive bundled with malware packages as a malware component.

NOTES:
This AutoCAD macro file may arrive on a system using the ACAD.LSP in the folder of AutoCAD drawing files (.DWG). It will automatically be loaded by AutoCAD when a drawing file is loaded. It locates the file BASE.DCL and then locates the file ACAD.MNL.

It then reads the contents of the file ACAD.MNL to check for the string "acadapp". It adds the following line in the said file if the string is not found:

  • load "acadapp"
It then checks if the name of the drawing file is Drawing.dwg and if not, it adds the following line to the AutoCAD drawing files (.dwg):
  • load "acadapp"

Step 1

For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

Step 2

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as ACM_BURSTED.BI. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
