This Trojan bears the file icons of certain applications to avoid easy detection and consequent removal.

It accesses websites to download files. This action allows this malware to possibly add other malware on the affected computer. It executes downloaded files whose malicious routines are exhibited by the affected system.

Download Routine

This Trojan accesses websites to download the following files:

  • http://barao2010.gratix.com.br/jusched.jpg

It saves the files it downloads using the following names:

  • C:\Arquivos de programas\jusched.exe

Trend Micro detects the dowloaded file as:

  • TROJ_BANKER.LSD

It executes downloaded files :

    whose malicious routines are exhibited by the affected system.

      SOLUTION

    Step 1

    For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

    Step 2

    Remove malware files dropped/downloaded by TROJ_DLOAD.GX

    Step 3

    Terminate a process file/s detected as TROJ_DLOAD.GX

    Step 4

    Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as TROJ_DLOAD.GX.
