Based on analysis of the codes, it has the following capabilities:
- This specially crafted PDF file contains an ebedded JavaScript that takes advantage of a vulnerability in Adobe Acribat and Reader to execute an arbitrary code on the affefcted system. It check the version of the said application to identify the vulnerability to be exploited.
- If the version 6.0, it takes advantage of the vulnerability in Collab.CollectEmailInfo method of Adobe Acrobat and Reader.
- Otherwise, if the version is 8.0, it takes advantage of the vulnerability in Collab.getIcon method of Adobe Acrobat and Reader.

Step 1
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.
Step 2
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as JS_UTOTI.MF. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
