This backdoor arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

Installation

This backdoor drops the following copies of itself into the affected system:

  • %Windows%\win32dc\Doom 3_trainer.exe
  • %Windows%\win32dc\Sims 2_trainer.exe
  • %Windows%\win32dc\Silent Hill 4(serial).exe
  • %Windows%\win32dc\UT2004(trainer).exe
  • %Windows%\win32dc\Doom 3_fix.exe
  • %Windows%\win32dc\Silent Hill 4_patch.exe
  • %Windows%\win32dc\Counter-Strike_cdfix.exe
  • %Windows%\win32dc\Quake3 fix.exe
  • %Windows%\win32dc\UT2004(serial).exe

It creates the following folders:
