- %Temp%\{random value}.tmp -> drops copy %System%\WinHost32.exe
(Note: %System% is the Windows system folder, where it usually is C:\Windows\System32 on all Windows operating system versions.)
It injects codes into the following process(es):
- svchost.exe

It does the following:
- It is capable of downloading and executing file on the affected system. As a result, behavior of the downloaded file is exhibited on the affected system.
It gathers the following information and reports it to its servers:
- OS Version
- IP Address
- Machine GUID
The information are posted to the server in the following format: GUID={machine guid}&BUILD=&INFO={info}&IP={IP address}&TYPE=1&WIN={OS version}

Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 2
Remove malware/grayware files that dropped/downloaded BKDR_HANCITOR.YYSWB. (Note: Please skip this step if the threats listed below have already been removed.)
