This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Installation
This Trojan drops the following files:
- %Windows%\Fonts\history.txt
- %Windows%\Fonts\id.txt
(Note: %Windows% is the Windows folder, where it usually is C:\Windows on all Windows operating system versions.)
It drops the following copies of itself into the affected system:
- %Windows%\Fonts\wuauser.exe
(Note: %Windows% is the Windows folder, where it usually is C:\Windows on all Windows operating system versions.)
Dropping Routine
This Trojan drops the following files:
- %Windows%\Fonts\msiexev.exe ← Minerd Coin Miner
(Note: %Windows% is the Windows folder, where it usually is C:\Windows on all Windows operating system versions.)
It executes the dropped file. As a result, malicious routines of the dropped file are exhibited on the affected system.

- cmd.exe /c netsh advfirewall firewall delete rule name="Chrome"
- cmd.exe /c netsh advfirewall firewall delete rule name="Windriver"
- cmd.exe /c netsh ipsec static add filter filterlist=block any srcmask=32 srcport=0 dstaddr=me dstport=445 protocol=tcp description=445
- cmd.exe /c netsh ipsec static add filteraction name=block action=block
- cmd.exe /c netsh ipsec static add filterlist name=block
