It does the following:

  • Functions as a component of a malicious Java archive file (.JAR) that is hosted in a malicious website. The said .JAR file contains the following files, all of which are detected as JAVA_LOADER.HLK:
    • padle.class (1,878 bytes)
    • BlogRoner.class (7,605 bytes)
    • ClassPol.class (1,238 bytes)
    • Clrepor.class (745 bytes)
    • CusBen.class (6,429 bytes)
    • Glorussstmz.class (6,360 bytes)
    • hubert.class (3,209 bytes)
    • novell.class (712 bytes)

Step 1

For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

Step 2

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as JAVA_LOADER.HLK. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
