This backdoor connects to the following website to send and receive information:
- {BLOCKED}9.{BLOCKED}3.38.94: 22223
It does the following:
- Sends client version
- Downloads and executes arbitrary file
- File is saved as {malware path}\{number}.tmp
- File is executed with parameter: Install1 1980 {malware path and file name}
NOTES:
The file to.exe requires any of the following parameters:
- Install1
- Install2
- p - displays running processes and corresponding PID
It displays the following information in the console by default:
The file oi.exe adds Guest user account in the system. It also opens the service TermService by default.
It displays the following information in the console:
- Add User Guest status (Success/Fail)
- CPU number
- Memory size
- TermService status

Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 2
Search and delete these files
- {malware path}\{number}.tmp
Step 3
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as BKDR_CATHACK.A. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
