Avoid account suspension by keeping your Barclays details up to date

This spammed message arrives as a spoofed notification from the financial institution Barclays. It informs recipients that Barclays wants them to update their contact information. The message then informs users that they need to download the attached file in order to start the update. The attachment is an .HTML file that asks users for confidential information.
Recipients might be tempted to click on links or view attachments since these messages talk about financial matters. However, users are advised to visit the bank's online site directly, rather than rely on embedded links in messages, to address any concerns they might have.
