Information Theft
This spyware logs a user's keystrokes to steal information.
NOTES:
It checks if the non-malicious site www.kbstar.com is opened in iexplorer.exe and then redirects users to www.{BLOCKED}tiar.com.
It sends the gathered information to the site www.{BLOCKED}tiar.com.
It modifies the system's HOSTS files to redirect users to www.{BLOCKED}ar.com once the following Web site(s) are accessed:
- www.super-ec.cn
- wghai.com/ec
- qsyou.com/ec
- www.wghai.com
- bbs.wghai.com/forum-17-1.html
- bbs.wghai.com/forum-12-1.html
- bbs.wghai.com/memcp.php
- bbs.wghai.com/ip.asp
- bbs.wghai.com/time.asp
- bbs.wghai.com/ec-user5.php
- down.wghai.com/up/super-ec/.txt
- down.wghai.com/up/super-ec/tongji.asp
- down.wghai.com/up/super-ec/ec.txt
However, as of this writing, the site www.{BLOCKED}ar.com is inaccessible.
It also opens the non-malicious site http://www.super-ec.cn in iexplorer.exe using the following command:
- rundll32.exe url.dll,FileProtocolHandler http://www.{BLOCKED}r-ec.cn

Step 1
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.
Step 3
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product and note files detected as TSPY_LOGGER.BDLO
Step 4
Restart in Safe Mode
Step 5
Delete this registry value

Search and delete the file detected as TSPY_LOGGER.BDLO
Step 7
Restart in normal mode and scan your computer with your Trend Micro product for files detected as TSPY_LOGGER.BDLO. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
