This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

NOTES:

This malware checks if it runs in a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. It checks if file name is EE.DLL. It looks for %System%\actxprxy.dll and loads the said file.

It looks for the following files in the Windows system folder:

  • actprxy32.dll
  • actxprxyserv.dll
  • wshtcpip.dll
  • hdntcpip.dll
  • wstcpip.dll
  • credssp.dll
  • crdssp.dll
  • LI.dll
  • netshell.dll
  • midimapper.dll

Step 1
