This backdoor injects itself into the following processes running in the affected system's memory:

This backdoor registers itself as a system service to ensure its automatic execution at every system startup by adding the following registry entries:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\
Services\RasAuto\Parameters
ServiceDll = {malware path and file name}

Backdoor Routine

This backdoor connects to the following websites to send and receive information:

  • {BLOCKED}o.companyinfosite.com

  • Once a successful connection is established, the remote user may execute the following command on the affected system:
    • start a remote shell
    • download and execute other files from the server
    • enumerate, start, and kill processes
    • enumerate, start, and stop services
    • get available drive information
