Information Theft
This spyware attempts to steal sensitive online banking information, such as user names and passwords. This routine risks the exposure of the user's account information, which may then lead to the unauthorized use of the stolen data.

Other Details
This spyware does the following:
- It monitors the Internet browser activities of the affected system, specifically the address bar or title bar. It recreates a legitimate website with a spoofed login page if a user visits banking sites with the following strings in the address bar or title bar:
- EBC_EBC1961/EBC1961.ASP
- EBC_EBC1961/EBC1961.ASP
- https://online.citibank.com
- https://wwws.ameritrade.com
- https://www.schwab.com
- https://investing.schwab.com
- https://secure.accurint.com

- It is usually registered by an executable component by creating the following autostart registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\SessionManager\\AppCertDlls
{value} = "{malware path and file name}.DLL" - Its primary purpose is to steal user information.
- It contacts the following servers:
- {BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.207.151
- {BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.215.130
- It then sends HTTP GET request to the said servers to get encrypted data, which when decrypted, contains HTML inject codes and target URLs which are mostly bank-related websites:
- cgi-bin/options.cgi?user_id=3397599756&version_id=27&passphrase=fkjvhsdvlksdhvlsd&socks=0&version=27&crc=00000000
- It then waits for the user to visit any target URL and injects codes to the said website. It does this by hooking certain APIs.
- It is also capable of doing the following:
- steals cookies
- clears cookies
- downloads and executes files from the server
- reboots system
- takes screenshots

Step 1
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.
Step 2
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product and note files detected as TSPY_PAPRAS.GO
Step 3
Restart in Safe Mode
Step 4
Delete this registry key
