Download Routine

This Trojan connects to the following website(s) to download and execute a malicious file:

  • http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.59.112:28100/gdfscd1
  • http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.59.112:28100/nbgfvsd
  • http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.4.96:17847/nrgrewe
  • http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.4.96:17847/vrfewwe

It saves the files it downloads using the following names:

  • %User Temp%\{3 random numbers}.exe

(Note: %User Temp% is the current user's Temp folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003.)

Trend Micro detects the dowloaded file as:

Step 1

For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

Step 3

Identify and delete files detected as TROJ_INJECT.SMD using the Recovery Console
