It registers the downloaded .DLL file as a Browser Helper Object (BHO) by executing a specific command-line.
It starts the service Application Layer Gateway Service2.
This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
It executes downloaded files whose malicious routines are exhibited by the affected system. As of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

This Trojan accesses the following websites to download files:
- http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.240.87/1.jpg
- http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.240.87/2.jpg
It saves the files it downloads using the following names:
- %Windows%\inf\alg.exe
- %Windows%\inf\AcroIEHelper.dll
(Note: %Windows% is the Windows folder, which is usually C:\Windows or C:\WINNT.)
It executes downloaded files :

Step 1
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.
Step 2
Delete these Browser Helper Object (BHO) registry keys
Step 3
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as TROJ_DLOADR.EKI. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
