This Ransomware sends the gathered information via HTTP POST to the following URL:
- http://{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.177.253/up6.php
Other Details
This Ransomware renames encrypted files using the following names:
- {Original File Name and Extension}.ned
It does the following:
- Encrypts files in the C:\users directory and its subdirectories
- Sends the Computer Name and the key used for encryption via HTTP POST

Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.

Restart in Safe Mode

Restart in normal mode and scan your computer with your Trend Micro product for files detected as RANSOM_NEDSOM.A. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required.
