  • It sends information to its C&C server which is a random-generated domain via HTTP post. The POST request may be any of the following:
    • {domain}/stat_log.cgi
    • {domain}/data.cgi
    • {domain}/get.cgi
  • Gathered information may include:
    • Computer name
    • Application Data path
    • OS information
    • List of running processes

It requires its main component to successfully perform its intended routine.

Step 1

For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

Remove malware files dropped/downloaded by BKDR_AGENT.AVNG

Step 3

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product and note files detected as BKDR_AGENT.AVNG

Restart in Safe Mode
