This Backdoor arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

Backdoor Routine

This Backdoor connects to the following URL(s) to send and receive commands from a remote malicious user:

  • {BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.110.160

Information Theft

This Backdoor gathers the following data:

  • Volume Information
  • Computer Name
  • UserName
  • System's Locale
  • OS version
  • Proxy Details available on IE in the affected system

Other Details

This Backdoor does the following:

  • It loads the following file if it is present in the system in order to proceed with its intended routine:
    • %SYSTEM%\About
    • {Malware path}\About
  • Once it is connected to "{BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.110.160", it will execute the arbitrary code provided by the URL.
  • It requires its main component to register this malware as a service.
