This Trojan then executes the downloaded files. As a result, malicious routines of the downloaded files are exhibited on the affected system.

Other Details

Based on analysis of the codes, it has the following capabilities:

  • Upon execution, it gets the local time and connects to the website, http://{BLOCKED}e.idirectech.com/support.html when the day is Thursday and the time is above 9 AM (10 AM - 11 PM).
  • Based on its code, the reply from the server is a script which contains strings. It then matches the strings to its list of strings to check the file to download.

Step 1

For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product and note files detected as TROJ_DLDR.FX

Search and delete the file detected as TROJ_DLDR.FX

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as TROJ_DLDR.FX.
