This Trojan executes when a user accesses certain websites where it is hosted.

This is the Trend Micro detection for Web pages that were compromised through the insertion of a certain malicious script. Once a compromised site is visited, the user is redirected to a certain malicious site. However, as of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

This is the Trend Micro detection for Web pages that were compromised through the insertion of a certain malicious script.

Once a compromised site is visited, the user is redirected to the following malicious site:

  • http://{BLOCKED}s.eu/js/jquery.min.php
  • http://{BLOCKED}ustri.com/js/jquery.min.php

However, as of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

NOTES:

This Trojan redirects users to the said sites to possibly download other malicious files.

Step 1

Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.

Close all opened browser windows

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as HTML_REDIR.WQUJ. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
