This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
NOTES:
A successful compromise to the installed software results to the execution of an embedded JavaScript code.
This script connects to the following remote URLs to possibly download other malicious files:
- http://{BLOCKED}riotings.net:80/white/applied_drill_facilitate.txt??e=17
- http://{BLOCKED}sfillsdays.biz:80/white/aid_socially_particle_boyfriend.txt?e=17
- http://{BLOCKED}ustin.net:80/white/lens-vessel.txt?e=17
However, as of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

Step 1
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as TROJ_PIDIEF.JXM. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
