This backdoor attempts to connect to the Google Talk server using a set of hardcoded credentials for authentication. If the connection is successful, this backdoor can receive commands from a certain Google Talk user that allows him to perform certain commands.

NOTES:

This backdoor attempts to connect to the Google Talk server using a set of hard-coded credentials for authentication. In this sample, however, the login credentials were removed. If the connection is successful, this backdoor can receive commands from a certain Google Talk user that allows him to perform the following:

  • Get system information (IP, OS version, etc.)
  • List/terminate processes
  • Perform shell command via cmd.exe
  • Upload/download files

Terminate a process file/s detected as BKDR_GGLOX.A
