Propagation

This worm creates the following folders in all removable drives:

  • {removable drive letter}:\8585485

It drops the following copy(ies) of itself in all removable drives:

  • {removable drive letter}:\8585485\{folder name in the removable drive}.exe

Other Details

This worm connects to the following possibly malicious URL:

  • {BLOCKED}ution.{BLOCKED}e.net

NOTES:

The number of copies this worm drops in a removable drive inside the created folder 8585485 is equivalent to the number of folders present in that removable drive.

It use the folder names as its file names.

It drops shortcut files pointing to the copies of itself in removable drives.

For the file names of the dropped .LNK files, it uses the names of the folders located on the said drives and appends the letter 's'.

It then sets the attributes of the original folders to Hidden to trick the user into clicking the .LNK files.
